Ashley Schivelbein, APRN, FNP-BC
Ashley is an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in
Psychobiology with a minor in Chemistry and graduated with honors from Simmons University in Boston in the pre-med program. She earned her Master’s in Science degree in Family Health Nursing from Boston College. Ashley spent the first 8+ years of her career as a primary care provider managing acute and chronic illnesses as well as providing women’s health and mental health services. The next 3+ years, she worked at Mayo Clinic in the Endocrinology department where she specialized in diabetes and thyroid disease management. Ashley also has 3 years of experience working in a spine and joint pain clinic managing painful conditions including performing intra-articular injections. Ashley is licensed as an Autonomous Practice APRN in the state of FL and launched Direct NP, LLC in the Fall of 2023. She is passionate about wellness and focuses on preventative health maintenance, medical weight loss, mental health, and hormone replacement therapy services including performing bioidentical hormone pellet insertions. In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two sons, yoga, and snowboarding.
Angela Geissinger, RMA
Office Manager
Angela is a registered medical assistant with vast experience in cardiovascular ultrasound and primary care. As office manager of Direct NP, she utilizes her wide range of skills including vital sign monitoring, phlebotomy, injection administration, and procedure assisting. She is also in charge of managing patient records, communicating with patients, and scheduling appointments.
Angela has earned three Associate’s degrees, two of which are in the medical field. In 2008 she graduated with honors from Clovis Community College, earning an AS in General Education. In 2011, she graduated with honors from Grossmont Community College, earning an AS in Cardiovascular Technology. More recently, in 2024, she graduated with highest honors from Keiser University, earning an AS in Medical Assisting.
